National Exhibitions’ school department made an offer of three exhibitions for the school year 1971. National Exhibitions covered all costs except transport to the next school. The school director for Södertälje schools forwarded the offer to the cultural committee for processing before the year.

The exhibitions that were offered were:
What is Graphics: January 7 – January 29,
Around the Nile: 14 April – 18 May as well
Mechanics and art: 16 November – 14 December.

In a letter from the art gallery’s manager/cultural curator Eje Högestätt dated June 30, 1970, it appears that Södertälje Art Gallery will show the exhibitions. They want to make it easier for the schools and at the same time give the opportunity to visit the art gallery’s other exhibitions. “We would like to confirm that we are happy to show the school exhibitions in Södertälje city’s art hall, as in the past season. We place these smaller exhibitions together with our larger exhibitions and give the schools the opportunity to come and see them whenever they wish during the exhibition hours.”

About Mechanics and art, a letter signed by Aina Bjerk states that the exhibition will arrive at the art gallery on November 16. “The exhibition includes 4 screens, 2 sculptures and 5 replicas of Christoffer Polhem’s mechanical alphabet.”. 50 catalogs are also included for free. The shipping cost of SEK 25 is the only thing that is added.
