In January 1971, the Culture Committee in Södertälje received a fine offer from Studieförbundet Vuxenskolan for an exhibition with “Perspective in the North” with works from the Jokkmokk Group. They asked if the cultural committee had any suitable premises at its disposal. The exhibition came after negotiations, to Södertälje konsthall November 1971. “Will it be okay if I am in Södertälje 18 – 19 November and help with the hanging?” asks Claes-Göran Forsberg from Norrbotten’s museum in a letter to Södertälje konsthall.

The group originally consisted of: Nils – Martin, C A I, Ossian Sarstad, Harry Nilsson, Lars Johansson Nutti, Filip Nilsson, Lars Anders Utsi.

It was a question of c.a. 49 works by the Jokkmokk group “We think it is a high-class collection” writes Margit Sperber from Studieförbundet Vuxenskolan in Södertälje in a letter to the culture committee. In addition to the original Jokkmokksgruppen, a sales list from the art gallery to Norrbotten Museum shows that significantly more artists participated in the exhibition, and significantly more works were exhibited. Lars Pirak is perhaps one of the more famous names.

Some of the artists: Carl-Oscar Nyström, Stefan Pettersson, Lars Pirak, Tora Rensgard, Hjalmar E Rönnbäck, Ingemar Callenberg, Sture Berglund, Ingemar Callenberg, Rune Granberg, Ingvar Jigrud, Kjell Knekta, Bertil Linné.
