Ur arkivet, visades

26/01 – 17/03, 2002

Everything belongs together, but some things you do not understand how they belong together, Barbro Björk, Eva Cronqvist and Kristina Möller begin the preface with. The exhibition began at Södertälje konsthall and then went on to Sundsvall Museum and Växjö Art Gallery.

Seven young artists were invited to the exhibition, with seven different points of view. “The starting point for the artists is the more or less conflicting stream of information and misinformation, and the amount of technical gadgets, which threaten to take command of our lives…. The eternal questions of art must be left behind in favor of self-perceived (but still typical) problems and passions in the everyday life of the information society. The outside world moves into the art institution and the audience’s expectations of the art are put out of play. ”. The participants were Erik Aalto, Fredrik Holmqvist, Matti Kallioinen, Gisela Schink, Fredrik Söderberg, Peter Törneby and Lisa Torell.
