Vatt-Anna, Sorceresse & Water Wedding

Honoring water and water carriers in three parts: A few kilometers from our home to the spring and 150 years between us. Vatt-Anna carried water for wealthy families in Södertälje as her job. We carry just for ours, part of this artwork honoring her, as our job. None of us has a pension plan, but we have water. Of the sweetest kind, freely offered from the forest. Vatt-Anna soundtrack in collaboration with Katt Hernandez.

Sorceresse is a fountain of wishes. Water cycles through sigil symbols of these blessings; Fountain of life flowing through all living beings. Crystalizing wonder expanding moments and matter. Sublimating mind into sky. Honoring mystery.

Water Wedding is a performance ritual that takes place in the fountain of Sorceresse on full moons throughout the exhibition period. The artists invite you to wed yourself to water, to pledge your love to the liquid life around and inside you. Water wedding ceremonies will be conducted at 12:00 on the 12/5, 11/6, 10/7, 9/8 & 7/9. Bookings via Södertälje konsthall.

Julia Adzuki and Patrick Dallard have an ongoing collaboration since 2009 as SymbioLab, spanning art and ecology, tactile sound and relational practices. They are now embarking on an off-grid adventure, building a center for ARTISTS in RESONANCE, in the forest outside Järna. A place for somatic, sonic, ecological and relational art to grow and to nourish the wild – the wild of the forest, of the earth, of hearts and imaginations. From Australia and France respectively, Julia and Patrick met in Sweden while sculpting ice. Julia has an MA in choreography from Stockholm University of the Arts and is a teacher of the somatic movement practice Skinner Releasing Technique. Patrick is
a teacher of Deep Listening educated by Rensselear Polytechnic Institute.
